CGC® is thrilled to announce that influential comic book writer and artist Steranko will be joining us for an exclusive Private Signing! Collectors can submit both comics and cards to this event.
Steranko is best known for his work at Marvel Comics during the Silver Age. He is one of the most fascinating figures in contemporary culture, with multiple careers as a musician, author, historian, carnival fire-eater, publisher, male model, art director, magician, and designer. As an escape artist, his death-defying performances inspired the character Mister Miracle.
According to Stan Lee, he is one of the prime Architects of the Marvel Age of Comics. As writer-illustrator of Marvel’s X-Men (for which he designed the classic logo), Captain America, and Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., he rocked the comic world with a revolutionary narrative approach that changed the direction of the medium. Popular polls cite Steranko as the fifth Most Influential Comic Artist in the history of the form.
Over the course of his distinguished career, he has been the recipient of many of the industry's biggest awards, including the Inkpot Award, Harvey Award, and Shazam Award. In 2006, Steranko was inducted into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame.
